We are seeking an IT Technician for our client based in Northwood, Middlesex. This role will be fully site based 5 days per week with no remote working. The IT Technician role will be an initial 3 month contract, paying between £145 - £190/Day Inside IR35.

Hours of work:

On a rota basis one week 8:00 - 16:30 and one week 8:30 - 17:00 with flexibility to meet their needs, and work up to 3 Saturdays per year to support events.

This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Role Profile:

  • At least 2 years of experience in supporting IT systems with a similar technical and operational background.
  • Experience in supporting a Microsoft 365 environment, including AAD and Intune.
  • Experience in the support and maintenance of Windows 10/11 operating systems.
  • Provide first and second line support to via phone, email, or ticketing system.
  • Log and manage walk-in support requests, ensuring users are kept informed of progress.
  • Assess IT issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Diagnose and resolve network, software, and hardware faults, performing basic maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Maintain and support their network and computer equipment on a day-to-day basis.
  • Install, configure, and support networked PCs, laptops, and peripheral devices, including printers.
  • Assist in configuring, installing, and testing end-user hardware and software solutions.
  • Ensure the asset database and all relevant IT documentation are kept up to date.
  • Conduct routine maintenance of their IT systems and test equipment regularly to ensure functionality.
  • Assist the IT team with project work and suggest improvements to their IT systems.
  • Provide technical support for external guest speakers when required.
  • Ensure equipment is kept safe and secure when not in use.
  • Support users in adhering to IT-related policies and procedures.
  • Set up for events requiring electronic presentations.
  • Assume other duties as reasonably required or delegated by the Business Director, Director of IT, or IT Manager.
  • IT Technical Qualifications.
  • Experience working with audio-visual equipment.
  • Familiarity with handling incident requests via an IT service desk system and ticket management.
