School IT Support Engineer - Milton Keynes - £28K-£32K (DOE)
A School IT Support Engineer with good working knowledge of Windows server, Offfice 365, and general network troubleshooting is required to join leading Academy Trust based in Milton Keynes. DBS checks will be undertaken before starting this role.
This is an autonomous, varied role involving 1st and 2nd Line support to staff and students in all aspects of the Academy's IT systems.
Key Skills Required:
- Previous escalation support
- Windows Server administration & troubleshooting
- Office 365 Admin (e.g. Exchange, Endpoint Manager, SharePoint, Security)
- Active Directory
- Experience of backup technologies e.g. Veeam
- Networking troubleshooting - TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switches, firewalls and cables
This is a customer-facing role working with a approachable, friendly and supportive management team. They are aclose-knit team who encourage active learning and support their staff to develop towards their goals through on the job and online learning.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Serve as the IT technical support contact for your designated location
- Offer a welcoming and helpful service to staff and students
- Management of 365 environement admin centres
- Address, advise, and assist clients with IT-related problems
- Collaborate with current technicians to deepen your role understanding
- Conduct routine maintenance and checks, both in-person and remotely
- Resolve issues remotely using the IT helpdesk system
- Provide telephone support when needed
- Assist with rollout of new systems, hardware and technology
Starting salary is up to £32K DOE and with this opportunity you will be enrolled with the Local Government Pension Scheme.
